The Accountant position will take on various administrative and financial tasks to support the business. The main responsibilities will include maintaining financial records, preparing invoices and delivering high-quality customer service.
The vacant position(s) is with an undisclosed company located in Hay Andulus and another company in Ben Ashour. Both will have the candidate working closely with international vendors. The ideal individual will have a keen eye for detail, strong mathematical skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should also be trustworthy and excellent communicators.
Responsibilities
- Processing invoices, receipts and other documents
- Liaison with the finance departments of international companies
- Ensuring all documents are properly signed and distributed
- Verification of financial and financially related data (e.g., tax)
- Monitoring and managing financial transactions
- Entering data into online platforms, and maintaining and updating records
- Assisting with account reconciliations
- Communicating with vendors, customers and colleagues
- Report the status of accounts and financial discrepancies
- Assisting in the production and management of local national and international staff payrolls.
- Assisting in tracking employee vacation and sick time and processing employee time into the payroll system
- Performs other financial activities as required
Knowledge
The candidate must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge of policies and practices associated with payroll and benefits administration
- Knowledge and ability in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiarity with Accounting software
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Knowledge of Libyan personnel policies and procedures
- An understanding of financial legislation policies and procedures
